Writing for young adults seems simple. After all, I've lived through it, survived it, and know a lot about it. Boy was I wrong...not so easy. What makes a teen want to read a book? I believe strong characters that teens can relate to will capture their attention and keep them interested. A reader's emotion is what keeps them turning the pages, and it's my job as a writer to know what I don't know.
